The 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) covers a 25-year planning horizon. It discusses current conditions, system performance, transportation needs, strategies, and projects to continue to develop and maintain an integrated multimodal transportation system. It also outlines the area’s goals for the transportation system. The plan includes road, public transit, and non-motorized facilities and discusses intermodal linkages. The plan must be fiscally constrained and updated every four years.
The existing conditions technical report evaluates demographic data and the status of the street, bicycle, pedestrian, transit, freight, safety, and security data as of 2020/2021.
The needs analysis reviews the projected 2050 conditions and anticipated needs for each mode of transportation.
The performance measures technical report updates how the BTPO planning area is doing to achieve the performance targets for the five national goals, which are:
- Safety Performance Management
- Pavement and Bridge Performance Management
- System Performance Management
- Transit Asset Management
- Public Transportation Safety Plans
The Project Identification and Financial Plan outlines the process used to identify needed transportation projects and how those needs will be funded.
The conformity analysis report describes the impact the Transportation Improvement Program and Metropolitan Transportation Plans projects and plans will have on the air quality of the Portneuf Valley Non-Attainment Area.
